Welcome to Belvoir Terrace

Diane Goldberg Marcus and Nancy Goldberg are the owner/directors of Belvoir Terrace. The staff of ninety plus are professional teachers, graduate students, as well as artists-in-residence. All staff are selected for their teaching experience, interest in working with young people, and their commitment to the Belvoir community. Many staff have been at Belvoir from five to twenty years.

Diane Marcus

Diane Marcus attended Belvoir Terrace from the youngest to the oldest camper group. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Oberlin College, her Master of Music from The Juilliard School, and her Doctorate of Music from the City University of New York. Diane has been a counselor, Chairperson, and Assistant Director, and has been a Director for over twenty years. Diane is married to Michael Marcus, owner/director of Camp Greylock, a summer camp for boys, located in Becket, Massachusetts.

Nancy Goldberg

Nancy Goldberg received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Bryn Mawr College and her Master of Education from Harvard University. Nancy taught English in the Newton, Massachusetts, Public School System. In the 1980’s, she was the Manager for the Children’s Dance Program at Steps Studio in New York City. Nancy has been at Belvoir Terrace since 1954.

Irena Lieberman Sullivan

Irena Lieberman Sullivan was a camper at Belvoir for 8 summers and returned to Belvoir in 2019 as Assistant Director. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and her Juris Doctor degree from the American University Washington College of Law. When not at camp, Irena works as a policy advocate on behalf of immigrant survivors of gender-based violence.

Kasey Weil Ziff

Kasey Weil Ziff spent four summers as a camper at Belvoir from 1989 – 1992 and has been a Belvoir parent since 2017. Having spent several summers with her family in Belvoir’s Family Camp Programs, Kasey returned to Belvoir as Assistant Director in 2022. Kasey received her undergraduate degree in Accounting from Lehigh University and her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education at New York University. Kasey just completed her 21st year as an elementary school teacher, the past 15 of which she spent teaching in the Plainedge School District on Long Island. Kasey has also co-directed the musical at her elementary school for the past 6 years and recently made her return to the stage as a performer in the role of Mona Kent in Dames at Sea with the Oceanside Theater Guild in Oceanside, NY.

Rhonda Lake

Rhonda Lake has spent over twenty years on staff at Belvoir Terrace. She has enjoyed teaching in the theater and art departments, and has been an Assistant Director for over ten summers. During the year, Rhonda continues as Academic Advisor at Doane University.
